The issues that were raised, as far as I understood from reading them, were quite subjective. As an investor you are responsible for doing your own research and investigating into such causes. The shift in perspective was largely due to that fact that many investors hadn't done their own research and simply went by others' word (i.e. analysis, opinion, etc.).

There were more than a few that really took to the resources available to disprove allegations. Some are still hesitant to invest, or reinvest, for that matter, which is what is insisting on volatility in the market.

And your comparison to RINO borders on the idea of fallacy of composition. It's important to treat CCME and RINO separately and not assume any sort of relationship between the two cases exists.

michael t- CCME

Mike, I don't know whether you've been reading any rebuttals to the short attacks, ie the 7 page letter from the CEO this morning. Bottom line is it has taken every top short seller in the country to attack in unisom, and they still can't retain a 50% selloff. As of today, the stock is down only 35% since Citrons first attack on Jan 31. My opinion is, the reason it's taken a whole group of top shorters to attack CCME, is that the company has much more credibility than most of the companies they attack. Also I believe that all of the short sellers have criminal records and very unehtical tactics, while the CEO of CCME has no criminal record.

Michael of course the shorts could be right, but after reading all the rebuttals and all the attacks, I must say it seems the shorts are being incredibly deceiving. It is hard for the company to perpetually rebutt every single claim also, as these shorts can come up with some doozies one after another. However the bottom line is, the company has a top auditor which would have never overlooked revenues that were only 20% of what was actually reported, or a bus count that is half of what is stated, or TV monitors than don't often show what they're supposed to. Don't you see what these shorts are all about ?
