Back in 2006, they tried a private placement of units. The PP memorandum is hilarious. They were trying to sell 1 Billion shares at $3 each. That $3 billion would have represented just 20% of the trust's equity, as the president claimed he had contributed $45 billion in assets in exchange for 4 billion shares. The mix of assets is interesting. The Wyoming property is there, but also the Clear Creek Gas Field in Utah, a Canadian Mine, an Oil Refinery, a yacht builder, a movie collection, etc. The list of proposed management looks interesting - it is worth checking out in more detail.
