Hi seeapenny,

Nasdaq stocks are traded premarket but Otc and Pinks are not. What you are describing is referred to as gapping up. The only way to capitalize on that is to be in the stock before it announces news. Here is one example. APNX released a 10K last week that shows a .05 eps. They will be releasing a pr this week announcing it. When they do the stock could gap up. The only way to take advantage of that is to be in it before the pr is released. I hope this helps.


I am answering your second question in the same post as I only have a limited number of posts per day. A 10K is the audited annual financial report filed with the Sec. Ways to know a pr is coming? Know the ceo. In this case (APNX) last year the annual earnings pr was released on feb 2nd so it is a fair guess to say it will happen at about the same time this year.
