He had to deal with them because no one wants to fund this on any better terms. That should tell everyone something especially considering his connections

A CEO does not have to be corrupt to take money from these known bad financiers. They just have no choice. They cannot get basic BANK financing. They have no collateral to secure the amount of capital they took in. The only "collateral" they had to give was MMRF shares.
