Four comments:
1) The dust hasn't settled, we're just not always understanding what is going on. That doesn't, itself, warrant changing your approach. It speaks more to your/mine lack of knowledge (we didn't go to school on this) than it does hers.
2) If you can't do #1, then respect the position. I don't mind calling someone Dr. (academic) even if they are an idiot on certain things (in my opinion). They earned it, the position, I didn't. It's respectful, and in the "old-school" nature of the court, it is what it is. Even the attorneys do it, even if they wish they didn't.
3) If you can't do #1, or #2, then do it because it makes searching easier. If I'm looking for something, I'm not going to remember to try the permutations of it.
4) And lastly, if you can't do #1, #2, or #3 -- then don't ask others to change their ways. You are free to do whatever you want to do, but let others adopt #1, #2, #3 if they want to.
