ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Month 14, 2001--SeaView Video Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:SEVU) (www.sevu.com) today issued confirmation of new developments in several areas. According to CEO George S. Bernardich III, "Sales efforts continue at full throttle, with success."
SkyMall, the in-flight airline catalog retailer, will feature both SeaView Marine and SecureView products in its summer edition. SkyMall circulates 4.5 million copies of its catalog, and will reach over 126 million passengers during Third Quarter. SkyMall will devote a quarter-page to SecureView, targeting the 80.4% of their readers who are homeowners.
SeaView Super-Mini and SeaLite products will also be featured in a quarter-page section, aimed at the 50-million-plus fishermen in the U.S. SeaView and SecureView are also scheduled to appear periodically on the SkyMall web site front page (www.skymall.com).
Texas-based SuperCircuits, Inc. featured SecureView in its latest postcard mailer, sent this week to 50-thousand key customers. SuperCircuits has issued an initial purchase order for 30 SecureView systems. The order followed a successful testing and evaluation by the security-products catalog and internet retailer.
View It Security, an independent dealer in Tucson, Arizona issued a $30,000 purchase order for SecureView systems. Bernardich also confirmed receipt of an initial order from SmartHome, a California catalog and online retailer of home security and automation products.
"As I have stated before, SALES are a primary focus," Bernardich said. "We have a meeting with our Taiwan sales team tomorrow (March 15). And our COO, Mike Ambler, has begun the process of developing our outside sales force."
COO Ambler added: "We have hired several sales representatives to sell our complete product line. They will give us the entree and access to key retailers, as part of our market distribution strategy. Already, we have several meetings scheduled over the next few weeks. And we have begun the supplier-number application process required by several well-known, 'household name' retailers."
Bernardich also confirmed an agreement with the Sports Authority retail chain, which operates 200 stores in 32 states with gross sales of $1.5-Billion. The chain will conduct a test with Marine Division SeaView cameras for Father's Day.
In product news, SecureView VIC undercarriage inspection cameras are in operation at TMEC, the testing center at Thunder Mountain. TMEC is a part of the Thunder Mountain national defense complex in Arizona. The VIC design was recently updated to incorporate the latest flat-screen display technology, as well as engineering changes incorporating feedback from earlier field trials in the government sector.
