Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Thursday 27 January 2011

Quantum Bit Technology, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: QBII) continues general development plans involving applications of quantum control. In layman's terms, quantum control (coherent control) is a process that uses electromagnetic resonance to steer the randomness and control the statistical behavior of systems. Current applications of this advanced technology can be seen across many industries. It is already possible to control many processes, such as the direction of motion of electrons in semiconductors, breaking or forming chemical bonds, and stimulating biological processes.

The Company is applying the same principles to practical macro systems. Essentially any system with random components can be controlled to some extent with coherent control techniques. The Company is planning to implement quantum control in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) creating a powerful therapeutic tool from the currently diagnostic MRI. Currently, the biomedical technology fields are valued at over $150 Billion and successfully manipulating electromagnetic pulses for imaging and therapeutic applications could help to heal patients with problems in deep tissue and/or internal organs.

Some other applications include, but are not limited to, enhancement of laser cutting tools, development of flexible circuits in order to support more dense, complex circuitry , and, perhaps most exciting, the development of varied biomedical applications.
