Couple thoughts. This play does not likely have many brokerage houses making a market in it, thus your orders have to get routed through the few who do create a market for MXMI shares. As a result, there is a delay in the order getting cleared.
While your order is being routed, another order may have already gotten further along int the processing and it sounds like it produced an uptick in pps from the time you placed your order...leaving you with a fill on what may have been the previous asking price. Perhaps Koi placed his order on the .01's causing a pps UT (uptick)?
If Koi's order is a GTC (which I almost always recommend....I hate when I have to pay a commission because some greedy brokerage decides to give me a 5k fill for a 500K order....seems not to happen when my order is placed as GTC), then MXMI's likely to open with just the spread you posted on. Monday should be interesting for sure. Seems many more eyeballs are on this one.
MXMI does a fab job of tree-shaking due to the big spreads. Just a warning based on the previous 2 weeks of trading. Bet the sellers of this week and last never would have suspected most would not be green had they held tight! I personally like how this one trades. I don't average up in a play often, but have here...green on all my shares purchased. That gives me a different sense of 'seller sentiment'. ;-)
