Blue Fin: What does McWilliams say about WAVX? The linked-to article says there's an update on Wave Systems, but has no indication whether it's buy recommendation or not. Here's the link and the WAVX excerpt from it:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/NI-Technology-Updates-prnews-1300244490.html?x=0&.v=1

McWilliams covers these topics and more in his recent reports:

* Should investors be considering Wave Systems as a potential winner in the IT security space? What data do investors need to know before they can make a full assessment of Wave Systems' potential value? Might Wave Systems' technology be trumped by that of bigger players?

The second question especially is a good one, and one that's been discussed at length on this board.

But you're right about McWilliams, apparently, based on this excerpt:

Next Inning editor Paul McWilliams was named the winner in both the Forbes and AOL stock picking contests for newsletter writers in 2010. His top pick for 2010 moved up over 132% for the year, and Next Inning free trial subscribers now have access to his top picks for 2011, a total of ten stocks that McWilliams sees as the big winners this year.

Steven Halpern, the editor of The Stock Advisors report, which tracks 75 subscription newsletters and publishes the AOL Top Picks Report, had this to say about McWilliams:

"I have followed the financial newsletter industry for 28 years, reading hundreds of financial advisors. Without doubt, Paul McWilliams offers among the most in-depth, highest quality and well-reasoned research available in the marketplace. I've rarely ever seen an advisor who is as knowledgeable -- and accurate -- regarding the sectors and stocks that they follow."

So, if it is a strong recommendation, there should be no doubt it is a key factor in today's share price increase, among several others.

Editor Paul McWilliams has displayed uncanny accuracy in identifying winners and losers during this challenging and historic period for the markets. After calling the rally that started in March 2009 to the day and providing Next Inning readers with buy recommendations that in some cases returned in excess of 400%, he advised readers on May 3, 2010 that the markets were heading for a correction. By the end of the day, the correction started.

ICBW, but there was no evidence of a recommendation, correct? only notice of a position neither negative or positive. Although I beleive someone did inquire what that position was, there was no reply.
