You're probably right, Jeff-M. He won't admit it but, he's definitely one of the most frustrated people here.
Seems like "someone" bought too much, too soon. And now, it's been difficult to get enough cash together to make a difference in his average pps. Would probably love to see it down until an opportunity, in the form of a tax return presents itself.
These things happen but, it doesn't make it a bad investment when it happens to be you, in the situation. Just a case of, bad timing and risk management.
As far as having the time to average down, I don't believe you'll be that fortunate. Unless you're buying within the next couple of weeks. An electronic filing is your best chance, if the tax return is your saving grace. Once the dust all settles, that last opportunity will only be viewable in the rear view mirror, IMO!
