then fell back to 1,448,264...
then back up on the next trade.
guess they had trouble adding for a second.

This is TDA "raw data", this would be the data that shows up in their streaming quotes. It is accessed through QuoteTracker software, TDA streaming feed.

It seems that if large negative numbers get bounced around early in the day that is going to be a "big paint" day for that stock.

Now, let's play "WHAT IF"...

What if someone bought large at the open (covering?) but then went short again right away? Of course the cover volume would disappear.

What if that short volume was eased out as much as possible during the day, soaking up the real volume and leaving paint to dry?

What if the short volume at the end of the day was what they weren't able to cover during the day?

Please - I am not stating that I am sure about this, just trying to make sense of the gibberish that is delivered by the system. If you have something else to propose that would make sense of this, feel free.

Just don't give me the line about "riskless principal" and all of those negatives are just part of normal MM routine. If that was true then statistically speaking daily shorts would cluster around 50% and vary from that norm. I've never, ever seen that pattern in a stock. It is high or it is low.

For the sake of clarity I will post the daily shorts for EIGH in my next post. I think they are part of the puzzle too.

Great post Kando. And even on the greys the manipulation is evident.

Very desperate and bold moves by the market makers but they must sense what is coming around the corner with EIGH.
