When you said:

...and although I agree with some of the things
you have posted recently Karin, I disagree with a recent statement you made, that the company has TOLD US there is NO NSS.

The company has never STATED that there is no NSS.
They did mention discrepancies.
They have allowed the shareholders
to review the information that was passed to them,
and this is an honest move, and to be commended.

Where you referring to this statement of mine?
From http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=58092504

The company pr announcing share count shows they are able to account for the shares issued. The difference of 3,750,493 is probably due to shares that hadn't settled yet. The probability is high that the company issued this pr due to knowing there is an SEC investigation of the monks den plays going on. They appear to want to distance themselves from the FLD concept play since it is illegal per SEC rules.

Whatever the case may be, I wish you all a Happy Holiday and Joyous New Year. Hopefully, everyone has a more prosperous one in 2011. ;)

kando,
Can you help me with some definitions regarding:
"--it is evident, and fact, that on weeks where the 'short reporting' #s are very low
We move up in PPS with very tiny volume.

When you say "'short reporting' #s are very low" are you referring to the pure number that is reported or the short percent of total volume that you and others calculate?

As you can see from the linked table, volume has been all over the place for the last several months. What do you mean by "very tiny volume"?
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=historical&symbol=CDIV
Did you have any particular weeks in mind when you observed the pattern that you report?

For it to be a fact that on weeks where the 'short reporting' #s are very low we move up in PPS with very tiny volume, those terms need to be defined somehow. Then maybe we can try to figure out WHY it is a fact.

If you have been able to discern some meaning in a number that I have called "pretty much useless" I'd like to try to figure out what I may have missed.

By the way, I for one have no desire to deprive you or anyone else of the opportunity to view all the data and to assign it whatever value you feel it deserves.

I hope 6 weeks of data is adequate.
I'm not seeing your pattern....or any other pattern for that matter. There are 2 weeks when the short volume is very low (18%). In one of them the stock is up on moderately strong volume and in the other the stock is down on very strong volume.

I'm still happy with my assessment, even more confident after this, that for analysis purposes these short numbers are pretty much useless. It's no wonder FINRA hasn't provided a concise explanation for them....there isn't one that justifies their existence. That said, the more data the merrier, right?
