I think winning this case and the prestige that comes along with it are what Rosen wants more than anything. Lawyers are unscrupulous, but money is not their only motivator. And with all of the insider trading that goes on at law firms, Rosen's bank account--or that of someone he knows--has probably gotten plenty fat by now, simply because he is privy to so much information.
But we can agree that Rosen is a piece of $hit even if we don't agree on his motivations.
