Yes it was. I thought the case had been mishandled. It was Royer, the FBI agent, who made the approach. In my opinion he was the chief perp.
What was worst, though, was that the insane prosecutor was obsessed by terrorism. He tried everything he could to suggest that Tony was a terrorist, simply because he's Egyptian by birth, though a U.S. citizen. That was bullshit. The FBI conducted a thorough investigation, and found nothing at all. But Breen tried to get it into the record at every opportunity. The judge stopped him, but the jury heard some of it.
It was an ugly smear campaign. The case should have been tried on its merits.
