I've been going to some Diamondbacks spring training games in Tucson, but Randy hasn't pitched in any I have attended so far. You're right ... he is fun to watch. As in all walks of life, his role has reversed since the early days. Now he is working with youngsters like BK Kim (who is wild as a march hare), trying to show them the way.

I agree with you wrt the Mariners. They sure didn't need the salary hit that A-Rod demanded. There are just too many decent pitchers out there who will work for far less. Hope to see them (and the D-backs) win their divisions. For both teams, health will indeed be the wild card. The D-backs are packed with seasoned veterans like Matt Williams. Of course, that is a double edged sword: Veterans play like veterans, but they also recover from injuries like veterans, too.

I'll be at a spring training game tonight, can't wait for opening day at Bank One Ballpark in April!
