Flyer, IBM is definitely doing this now. Leafing through a number of computing related magazines recently, I had mixed emotions seeing them touting their Embedded Security Subsystem very prominently in their ads for ThinkPad and ThinkCentre systems. It's too bad they aren't using Waves' products at this time, (although the option is there) but on the other hand client side hardware for trusted computing is on the uptake and Wave is going to earn revenue because of it.
Also the link to the HP/Compaq machines that I posted today was obtained by clicking on an ad for their notebooks. I'm sure they will start to push their ProtectTools Embedded Security in thier print ads as well (if they haven't already). It's happening, but even after all these years for us, it's still quite early in the paradigm shift.
Fortunately for us, the government is going to be responsible for the accelerated adoption of TPM's, IMO anyway. Where else could this demand for 1.1b's have come from, sans marketing?
