I don't think PDI is factored into the SP. It might be if we were generating a profit from PDI, or if we had any idea when the record date might be, but I think it's too early to take it as a given that our SP will drop by a given amount after the spin-off.
That's not to say I don't think it's a factor or that the SP won't drop after the spin-off, just that it's too early to tell. I've only been involved in one spin-off (PCFG --> ORGG) and I don't remember my PCFG shares losing value. Plus, even if we did drop $0.75, we'd have our PDI shares to make up the difference, so we'd still be (hopefully) at $3+ when we put our PTQ and PDI shares together.
What's going to be interesting is to see how PDI performs once it's spun-off. Given how long it's taking just to complete the spin-off, I don't expect us to hit the ground running. I think it might be a year or more we see the true promise of PDI. Depending on how well we think PDI will do, that may be a good time to accumulate PDI shares.
Here's a thought ... will PTQ take a loss on PDI when it's spun-off? I mean, hypothetically, we'd be losing an asset, correct?
