90% junk silver coins are another nice way to invest in silver.
it's good to have some of these old US coins. It's minted by US govt. and guarantee 90% silver purity.
Plus it's good to have smaller coins for the time of corruptions... war time,, when banking system fails or stops, etc... .is a good time to have silver as a real currency to exchange with food, water, clothes, etc...

here is $100 bag of mercury dime

here is $1 mercury dime ($.10 x 10)
http://www.providentmetals.com/1-face-value-90-silver-mercury-dime.html

As you can see, providentmetals usually have some better deals.

And each dime contains about $2 in melt value.

It's all in what you prefer. Some on this board like the numismatic Silver. Numismatic is not my area of expertise and I tend to stay away from it. Hanglong and Orca are the experts on the numismatic Silver.

I buy Silver for the Metal Content Only. I like the 1 through 10 ounce Silver bars. Nothing Bigger than 10 ounces as I believe in 5 to 10 years Silver will be trading in the hundreds of Dollars per ounce. This is based on just Supply and Demand only! Factor in inflation and it could be a lot higher! I believe it will be easier to sell your smaller Silver under 10 ounces rather than the larger bars. Especially where Silver prices are headed over the next 5 to 10 Years! I also like the 1 o/z Canadian Maple Leafs, and the 1 o/z U.S. Silver Eagles. Both are well recognized beautiful coins.

As fiat currency fails and we begin to rely on barter. One ounce of silver may become increasingly valueable. Having smaller denominations with specified weight and silver content is desirable. Many of the central and south american countries took to labeling thier silver coins with fineness and weight, so the reciever of said coins can be assured of thier content. Having smaller denominations/weights is just good business sense (for making smaller purchases). HL
