True, but these types of companies buy up "pimples" all the time. There could be a catalyst that would trigger a buyout.

I guess another potential reason for a company like L3 to buy VTSI is to keep their technology out of competitor's products.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe large companies can get more contracts from the government if they sub-contract a good bit of the work to smaller companies such as Virtra. Keeping Virtra independent can benefit them more this way than possibly buying it out.
