Years ago I started taking "News Holidays" and have never regretted a single one. It usually starts with a shift from daily news to only reading weekly mags. That filters out a lot of the B.S. From there I usually move to something Monthly, again with a significant reduction in "noise." Finally I just quit all together. Even then some "news" leaks into my consciousness just through communication with others!
