Try booting. If you have it the earlier instructions apply.

You can go look at the disc manager(right click my computer and select manage, then disc manager)
and look to see the Local Disc 0 has a partition in it.

tc gives the easy way, reboot and watch the screen for a message stating I you want to boot into the recovery mode press F10 or whatever key they designated as the function key to enter that mode
