excellent post. thanks for spelling out what could seemingly, and easily happen. and worse yet, probably is happening.

that being: big oil greases palms upstate, JBII's permit[s] get shelved for myriad technicalities.

indeed, politics and power mix, and could very well be to JBII's chagrin.

Politics is about access to power. There are companies that will be hurt by JBI going into production.........Those companies can call in political favors to see if JBI can be derailed or at least delayed. It is in their interests to do so.

That would explain the sudden interest from Albany in JBI.

In the wildest projections ever posted on this board JBII does not even begin to amount to a decent senatorial bribe to big oil. This is - pure and simply - the standard delays of any government office and whatever issues in getting the application submitted in the first place. The only abnormal aspect of any of this is the certainty that evil lurks in the unmet timeline.
