Since I am long, it turns out that I can only sell my position (closing transaction for longs). I cannot add more to average down.

Anyone has any idea what is going on with this.

Means whatever MM to whom your broker sends their order flow is hung out to dry; means the MM doesn't have any GERS in their inventory and doesn't want to risk NakeShorting in front of what might be a solid run here. TD Ameritrade and ScottTrade are notorious for pulling this stunt; they both rely heavily on Knight ( NITE )
