Go-kite: Oh really? You write- "I think its important that people (lurkers/readers) understand that there are a lot of loosely correlated assumptions going on here."
A delightfully politically correct line, that nearly all will agree with, except for one little thing: It doesn't say anything.
The issue is NOT whether "there are a lot of loosely correlated assumptions", but rather this: which assumptions pass the litmus test of being strongly correlated Vs moderately correlated Vs poorly correlated.
I believe that Awk's TrustZone hypothesis, based on his exhaustive DD, passes the "strong correlation" litmus test. Of course, "strong correlation" does not equal FACT; and no one has argued that.
Of course, no one on this board has directly questioned or challenged Awk on his Trustzone hypothesis. Including yourself. (Or Rachel, who appears to concur completely with your sentiments). Consequently, I have no idea whether you believe the Trustzone/WAVE association is weak, moderate or strong.
In fact I have no idea how anyone on this board views Awk's Trustzone hypothesis(and giving Awk a high-five on his DD, does not constitute a substantive reply).
The question of Trustzone is an important one. If Trustzone does not utilize any of the Embassy IP in its firmware, then the mission of this company narrows considerably. Very considerably.
The weakness of this board has always been the lack of hard hitting debate between the Longs. Which is why, unfortunately, we need the bashers; otherwise this board would soon congeal into a flatland of non-conflictual dreariness.
