Did E*Trade give any reason why the dividend shares were being retracted?

My dividend shares were there a few days ago, but now mine are gone as well.

I am not in the know on such things, but that does not even seem legal to take back shares that were once in my account.

I will say that this was my first experience with dividend shares. When they did show up in my account, I was a bit taken aback that they were not designated as resticted shares. They simply showed up in my overall total number of shares.
