I'll agree 100% here, most Canadians including me love driving Japanese made cars here Especially in Toronto. Other than the GM Savana, and RAM used for consturction, I don't see any other GM's, with the exception of a few buicks here and there. Specifically where I live, Other than a Lexus, Acura, BMW or Mercedes, you would see older Toyota's or Honda's before you see a GM. Ford is way more common and Chrysler's Caravan is the most common. I don't see GM's stock remaining in the 30's for long unless the VOLT becomes a huge success which I highly doubt. Nissan will most likely do way better with the one their coming out with.
