You know your TDA "broker" is someone with a Series 7 license and gets a salary. He wouldn't be a wealth of information. I used to be licensed and was responsible for 50 brokers. I know how little these guys know the rules. They're salesman.

If you want to check again, ask them about CEDE and co. Or do a google search...

"in ITS" name...


Or call the TA and ask him if he has your name (assuming you actually are a shareholder).

Seriously, this is the stuff that's easy. This is industry standard stuff. Once the TA issues the cert, he's done. Then it goes to CEDE and the DTC. They have the info. Not the TA.
