That's why I asked whether the dividend was in kind. If certs were issued to EVERYONE, then it's a much different animal from an in-kind dividend. I don't know the details of the dividends; that's why I asked.
Side note: no matter what they were, they must have been an utter pain for everyone involved because they were letter stock. I'm sure that Urbie wasn't winning any popularity contests in Ameritrade's back office in the days following the dividends.
