OT: Very off-topic. I should have been clearer. Most jets can throttle to more than 100% thrust on takeoff even though this would exceed their approved operating limits at most ambient temperatures. I'm sorry for the inaccuracy.
Because of lower ambient temperatures at altitude it is not unusual for a jet to operate at more than 100% N1 and still be within operating specs.
Sorry for the waste of bandwidth here. I just didn't want the inaccuracy to hang out in cyberspace.
