Well if you have that view then the entire financial system of the free world will come to a halt. What you "don't get" is that the entire financial system is based on borrowing "what they don't have", and then selling/spending what they "don't have" (what they borrowed). Whether it is stock or money, it is the same process.

Go rant to GM that they shouldn't be building those cars because they are using borrowed funds to build the car and that someone on the BEHL message board (that is down 90% at least) thinks no one should "spend what they borrow"! That the money "does not belong" to them, since they borrowed it.

With your logic, there would be no finance there would no banks.

My god! good thing there aren't many more with your view!

When you finance a car do you have it or own it? I am pretty sure you have it and do not own it as the bank owns it until you have paid in full your financing.
