#9871 RE: OTC BB King #9862

I wish I knew more about the legal subtleties here, but the way they talk about the CBIS-SFIO JV makes it sound like it is a project apart from CBIS' own internal projects dependent upon US FDA approval. Here are some excerpts from SFIO's release that get my attention:

confirmed today the announcement by the Biotech company Cannabis Science (OTCBB:CBIS) regarding entering into a joint venture agreement to develop and market several high-tech smoke-free vaporized medical cannabis pharmaceutical products, as released by CBIS on August 13. He stated, “Pursuant to the joint venture, Smokefree Innotec Inc will supply its high-tech smoke-free vapor technology devices and Cannabis Science will provide all the medical cannabis extract formulations.”
George Roth, CFO stated, “Our business of designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing hi-tech, nicotine and non-nicotine cigarette-like delivery devices which are completely smoke and vapor-free and tobacco-free, represents an excellent partnering with Cannabis Science to fill their needs for production and distribution in the fourteen US States that currently approve the medical use of cannabis.

Mr. Roth added, “It is worth repeating that this partnering with Cannabis Science will put Smokefree Innotec in the forefront of marketing devices delivering medical formulations of pharmacological extracts to dispensaries and healing centers already in existence, in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. With the anticipated voter approval of Prop 19 in California, we believe the number of dispensaries and related retail establishments for marijuana and marijuana accessories will multiply rapidly.

In an earlier release, Dr. Robert Melamede, President and CEO of Cannabis Science Inc., stated, “Many patients smoke medical cannabis because it gives them rapid relief that allows them to monitor their usage. Smokefree Innotec’s technology allows the patients even greater convenience and dosage control than smoking, without all of the possible health and social/legal problems associated with smoking. Cannabis Science will provide a variety of standardized medical marijuana formulations to be used with the Smokefree Innotec products, so that patients can self-monitor their dosages. Of course, these products will be of even greater value to patients who do not like to smoke since vaporizing minimizes the irritating and harmful effects caused by direct smoke contacting the lungs.”

What I glean from this is that CBIS could serve SFIO has a sort of scientific adviser to develop their cannabis smokefree device targeted to existing MMJ patients.

I'm not as familiar with SFIO, do we have any word from them about timelines for deployment of a cannabis device within or without the US?

Thinking the same thing.

Are there Fed Ex packages filled with product with delivery sites just waiting to be sent, Nov 3rd?
Do distribution sites have to obtain State licenes to distribute weed?

The mechanics of this new freedom has me thinking in over time.

I know a few have already tried the CBIS/SFIO e-weed product, but what kind of State involvement will be implemented to sell these? We will be going from illegal, non tax paying individuals to santioned by the State. Just let some of these guys comming out selling in public. The State seea who is selling the first week in Nov and finds not a single income tax filled in years and they are knee deep in the good stuff, cars, homes, babes and planes. May be a OMG moment for a few.

In Alabama we have to go through a State run ABC store to buy liquor.
Now there are Liquor stores, but they too have to buy from ABC.
No one gets a price break. Alabama rakes in on this deal. It sucks, but effective keeping us with the Nation's lowest property taxes.

Anyone dive into that DD for Cali? See, after the Vote, if I were a weed partaker, I'd naturaly go to a Medical MJ site to buy. Second, the normal drug sellers with their standard $300+ a bag........Screw that.

Things are gonna shake up in Cali and set the stage for the rest of the country.
Drug dealers are gonna be the biggest losers. Can you imagine just buying like 10 pounds of weed to resale now at today's prices seeing this Vote comming down the pike? I bet the price of retail street dope will tank, we will soar!
