ok, thanks for being honest! i don't know the answer either, but it sure does open up a legal shit hole. i don't qualify for the dividend, but if i did and transferred the dividend money to my checking acct and spent the money; and etrade came back to me stating they were taking it back, i would call my lawyer! only thing i did was buy shares of a stock that promised a dividend. etrade paid me... end of story IMO! if they came back and removed the money i would have them talk to my lawyer!
