Any chance of it being re-defined so it would appeal to the officials who are against it? I know its already passed but re-defining to everyone's liking could be beneficial in avoiding future setbacks. JMO.

Sorry Dew I stepped away from the desk for lunch. You raise an important question. What's the easiest way to keep the media on your side? Reward them with being in the loop. The media hasn't hounded Washington because unlike us they may know generally what to expect but keep it on the D.L. If a news crew knows when and where to go at what time it saves them a ton of money not chasing ghost leads or worst missing the big story. That's the networks motivation, go along to get along and crank out the bigger scoops under budget.

It takes coordination and cooperation to stay in the media's good graces. Is the media empathetic to the President's position wherebye he openly sided with ESC research and ASCs but wanted to extend the ESC experiment with public money? Yes, not one network has ridiculed the public funded ESC experiment. They know it is a great story for them that has no end in sight. Based on zero news reports I conclude the media likes ESCs. If the media ran with the Stem Cell Act 2010 passage story while pending injunctions sat in court or no coordinated effort by the President was planned then they undermine what they like; ESC research only to erode support from the ESC table.

Coordination and Cooperation are working today. It's only temporary. The media will bite the hand that feeds it if necessary. The networks must have been given a juicy scoop or promises it would be given ample notice of the scoop. That is how one gains their cooperation. It helps them manage time better so the handshake agreement is honored.

Coordination by the White House of billion dollar news worthy HRSA grants to be dispersed and advance notice of bill signing could be why we haven't heard or seen a peep on TV or internet.
