Your reply confirms that you know as little as most here (IMO) and please include ME on that list.
I would think that "missed sales" are items that function in a virtually similar fashion and are awarded elsewhere. We are new to the game and perhaps have a product that as some have pointed out may not be as desired as another's might be. That is my fear, frankly.
It is of that which we don't have first hand knowledge that makes me hesitate to think we can jump to the "missed sales" mindset.
Then to factor in budgetary restrictions and the like and I am of the opinion and hopes that missed may be merely *delayed* orders.
Short of that I think a comment was made earlier that our "competition" is eating our lunch and on that point I am sure there will be others that will agree with you and this thought <Bg>
