Not if you were discussing it as an interesting note about the problem trading some stocks.

The notion that an FLD was discussed in a Monkinar and the DTC issue was described as being addressed aggressively by the company hiring SEC-experienced lawyers, and none of this being offered as encouragement to buy, well, seems unlikely to me.

Actually, recommending that people buy stocks IF you are being compensated for that recommendation and do not disclose it, is a problem in and of itself. I believe to even recommend specific stocks to an individual or group you need to be licensed.

I believe however the original post was referring to the claim that nothing except trading strategies were discussed at Monkinars and specifically, there was no mention of any of the FLDs. Sounds like that wasn't the case in at least one of the Monkinars.
