#2233 RE: ergo sum #2224

I can tell that our viewpoints are diametrically opposeed, ergo. Where you see liberals as knights in shining armour opposing the evil right-wing propagandists, I see evil liberals wanting to insinuate government into my every waking and sleeping moment being opposed by conservative knights who would like to see each individual have the right to succeed or fail based upon his own merits and effort.
My first introduction to the stuff called propaganda was from the left.
As to minimum wage, we also have differing views. I do consider it a tax, but it is a tax on businesses. Taxes and wages are costs which a business must either pass on to us consumers or they must cut costs somewhere else. In the marketplace, you either compete or go out of business. I share your feeling for those who work for the lowest wages. I have no solution for the problem of those who are mentally challenged, but don't feel that raising the minimum wage will do one thing to make them smarter. What you state is fact.
While some may consider working for lower wages to be beneath their dignity, I had to do it. I had a wife and children to support, which I considered my responsibility, not the government's. I guess I am sort of a trouble maker.
