i haven't paid any attention to silver in many years but i've always been skeptical of the precious metal market. Once upon a time i considered myself to be an economic geologist (translation: a geologist who studies formation of ore deposits, usually base or precious metals). I've seen a bunch of silver mines and i have no doubt that production can be ramped up to meet whatever demand supports. However, I won't attempt to prognosticate on silver or gold prices because i'm the type example of a person whose opinion on such matters has fallen well short of what the market is apparently capable of achieving (e.g. i thought gold was bubbly 6 yrs ago so i sold the physical gold i had then).
