I agree enterprise and Govt will be the first to utilize TPMs. I believe Dell's customers that buy the TPM units will buy Wave's software 100%.

As these people use the security in their work place and see how effective it is, they will want it in their home computers and notebooks.

It make take 1-2 years for the consumer market to really catch on, but I believe the enterprise and Govt sectors will speed the delivery of TPMs into that market pretty fast.

Also, content delivery will speed things up to where it may take much less time for the public to demand the TPM technology, hidden or not.

I was told by a Fry's employee that they will have computers with 'security chips' in about two months. I forgot to ask what brands. I'll try to find out the next time I am in the store.
