Actually,I have heard the opposite. If the location of the actual note or debt cannot be established then enforcement of the debt cannot be continued. Having my student loans resold 5 times since the beginning has led me to the conclusion that the company who
holds the debt now, has either sold it, transferred it again, packaged it in a CDO, or wrote it down totally. If it was packaged then it is impossible to locate...and if if cannot be located, then it cannot be paid.

That was something I heard. I am not enacting this approach.

Does anyone know anything about "usury"?
