"Do you two truly believe that the semi-rigid carbon fiber reinforced SA-2...is the same vehicle now in NJ at Eastcor for strategic testing?"

The Sanswire website uses the old SA-2 photo for the renamed Skysat.

http://www.sanswiretao.com/product-skysat.htm

The old SA-2 "Stratellite" demonstrator is now called Skysat.

The old segmented "skydragon" is now called "Stratellite".

Mide, IMO- it's been stated that the STS-111 is the demo ship for L3 and others (maybe Home Land Security, etc.) The STS-111 has a stated ceiling of 20,000 feet and a payload of 25lbs. It's mission is tracking assets (GTC appliques), ISR and comm.

The SkySat has a different mission and a ceiling of 45,000 feet. I believe it's mission is missile defense and will be one huge radar platform. I think the SkySat is several months away before test flight.

The future Strat (STS-232) has a ceiling of 60,000 plus feet and a large payload (250 plus lbs?). It's mission is com and ISR. I think Rocky Mountain will be funding the development shortly.

Eastcor is in Maryland, not NJ.

mide: I feel it's basically the same S2-A vehicle as what was shipped to Stuttgart, plus or minus what was tweaked and tested in Stuttgart before its being shipped to EastCor.
I wouldn't claim to "know" the details regarding its present design and structure, and I don't need to know what the company or others might want to be kept under wraps.
An upcoming demo fairly soon will be good enough for me.
