I also expect that sort of comment from somebody whose only academic credential is a BA in Sociology. Of course, the vacuous snippet above is absolutely true, i.e. 1. Grijalva should do something else with his life other than contributing to the ruination of the US economy and 2. oil rig and platform operators have always conceded that work on rigs and platforms is dangerous. That might explain why personal on those facilities undergo escape and survival drills and the insurance premiums are so high. I suspect the last part that you quoted is absolutely false but 2 out of 3 isn't a bad success rate for a sociologist.
