I understand. I am just thinking that mid-September, when the legislation gets re-approved (I think), and the return of congress are not really that far away. Couple of weeks.
I know what often happens here in Canada is that we get official word that the funding (contract/grant) has been approved but we are asked to keep it strictly confidential until the government announces it, to match their own PR/scheduling needs.
In other words, don't steal the government's thunder. Let them take the public credit (with the voters, the media, other interested parties).
