I'd never rule it out, thinking about conspiracy is one of the most fun things to do in life, each of us does it every day. (This guy hates me, that guy is out for me, etc) I think the odds are though that the FDIC acted irrationally in seizing/selling WAMU at a discount and people now need to be paid their just due.
