just goes to show that tv and local advertising goes a long way as it did well in the concentrated markets where there was significant advertising. hopefully momentum builds throughout the rest of the course of twelves run in these theaters with less than stellar turnouts due to word of mouth and a more prolonged exposure to moviegoers.

Just checking in. I gather that Twelve's returns are underwhelming. Dang!

I just got back from seeing it. About 30 people in a stadium-seat theater holding 75.

I thought I would detest the movie, and I REALLY liked it. The narration was a huge plus in my opinion -- gave the movie a gritty, but detached air. And the acting was excellent.

Oddly, the demographic in the audience was totally unexpected -- white, age 50+ couples. Go figure.

Chace needs to mobilize his fan base, because there were none of them in the audience.

C'est la vie. I knew we weren't going to hit those wild projections some were posting, but I was hoping there was a chance for $2k out of the starting gate. Sure glad we have the 20th Century Fox deal and other deals to come.

This will probably do just fine with some word of mouth, some reviews, the Emma Roberts teen choice exposure, and then DVD, etc. But I guess we now have some waiting to do.
