I did not want to talk with him about the case. Actually I thought I was going to get his answering machine. Suprised that he picked up. I just asked him if it was true that he was leaving. He said yes, and added that Jane would be taking his place and that she was very familure with the case and that we were in good hands with her. I then ask him about going into private practice, He said he was and I said that I did that once and it was very difficult and more work than I expected. He said he knew what he was getting into and that he had two children and that college and everything was getting so expensive that he thought he could do better on his own than a salary at the DOJ. He was very cordial to me. He did ask me how I had found out so quick. I just said that it was posted and that I was a wamu shareholder. I thanked him for all he had done and said goodby.
