That's the one monster issue that all these pyrolysis waste-to-fuel startups face--finding anyone who will buy their "fuel" for a price that doesn't lose them money.

It's one thing if Mr. Bordynuik claims it's "High quality" or other meaningless adjectives. It's entirely another to find someone who will actually pay cold hard cash for the pyrolysis oil.

So what happens if the permit never comes? Theoretically speaking, of course, not implying anything. But if, by chance, the permit never comes, does the fuel they've produced so far sit there forever? It makes no sense they need an air permit in order to sell what they've already produced. I guess another phone call is in order...
