I don't think there's one investor on this thread or in the brokerage community that thinks the sales were illegal. Howard Goldberg was an attorney for the SEC and you can bet he knows the rules. Besides that both Goldberg sales and Tildens had to be approved by IDCC's legal department. Do you think they would risk their career for Goldberg and Tilden?

The only thing that can be said is many investors both institutional as well as private were very disappointed at the timing of the sale. With arbitration as well as mediation occurring in January it left a bad taste with many investors.

The light shines here because it's the only place on the internet where one can get the documents on the legal proceedings IDCC is involved in. Besides that you can also get interpatations of those documents as well as good opinions on financials. There's a lot of people here that share what ever they can regarding this investment. How many stock threads has investors like JayKay,Ghors and Chartex that attended trials and came back with detailed notes?
