Maybe they can start the international expansion by putting Stern in London or Paris (whomever he can insult the most) that way he will be awake for NYC.

Agree on this stock hitting 52-week high a few more times this year based on what you said. I listen to Stern every morning since joining SIRI 3 yrs ago. It is my opinion only, but his shows have improved significatly since being on SIRI. This is based on listening to past broadcasts during his vacation period. He loves what he does and is a master at reading the general public.

I doubt he will retire....I think he is just trying to leverage his contract. I think we will see a smaller contract with reduced hours for maybe 2 yrs, giving him time to branch into another medium. You have to understand that he decision not only affects him, but his entire staff. He has a lot of people along with their families who are dependant on this contract. He cares a lot for these folks, and I doubt he would have waited this long to announce anything unless he knew that they would not be required to submit new application for work.

I always agree with you on the buy back program. They need to address debt first, then worry about un-dilution.

However, for Howard's contract, I don't know what news is reporting his likely retirement (I believe you, I just haven't heard news speculation either way) but I stated before, every time Howard was up for renewal on terrestrial radio, he went through the same complaints. Plus adding in the FCC restrictions that kept piling on. Yet he always renewed.

That’s not to say retirement is impossible, but I suspect the news people reporting a ‘likely’ retirement either do not know the show very well or are not really looking at the situation closely.

I guess we will all know who is right 12/31/10 !!

Subscriptions for Sirius are already up 50% for May, so next month's Earnings reports should show a Nice Increase in Revenues + Net Profits. IMO

Look what Mel had to say on CNBC just a few weeks ago. Best to all Longs with a lot of patience.
