Hi internet, I don't know about range bound. MMs knew this was comming for weeks, as we did; so yes, I think they anticipated this. They've been through it for years; they're pros, it's what they do. Yeah, maybe they had to "go naked" on some, but I gotta believe they were ready for this. It happens every year and presents a profit opportunity for them. It's not a new game for them. Also, WAVX was not alone, this happened to most new additions to Russel Indexes. Simply put, if MMs don't consistantly make a profit,they're out of business. My guess is the MMs made out just fine. What they may be "naked", my guess is they'll just cover w/ buying "stops." But what do I know. Thx

If they can go naked any time they want there is no limit to their supply.

I would think that the big after hours trades are just the mutual fund trades (and/or the Russell index)settling up trades made during the day as they accumulated shares during the trading day. Most likely the SP for these trades were negotiated many days in advance. JMHO of course
