Laranger--I think you missed the gist of my post, I was talking about negotiations during the license and why IDCC signed a license that permitted Nokia to challenge any of the licensed patents. Also, I doubt that IDCC sent any letters to Nokia that led to the 3G lawsuit, otherwise Nokia would have referenced the letter in their complaint and attached a copy. Actually, this 3G suit probably came out of the blue (or perhaps was threatened during arbitration settlement) and was not prompted by anything IDCC did with regard to the 3G license.
